PURPOSE

It provides a means to illuminate terrain with a narrow light beam of high intensity to support operations of the rapid reaction forces according to situational data in zero visibility conditions (at night).

When assisted by optical surveillance devices (binoculars, a border binocular tube, etc.), the searchlight is capable of distinguishing a man being exposed to a beam at a range of up to 1.5 km.
