The FB-SCAN is designed for effective detection of items hidden under clothes, on and inside the human body. For example, the non-intrusive approach to people screening enables the detection of objects concealed within the body cavities (mouth, stomach, rectum etc), on a person beneath clothing or in artificial limbs (plastic, metallic or composite).

This system can be used in antiterrorism applications, to protect state facilities and at border crossings.

The system can be used to provide access control required for special security zones. It yields the high resolution of detected images due to a minimum dose of irradiation.

The pre-programmed functions of the system can help an operator to quickly perform the image processing to identify hidden objects.

The main advantages of this design are low dose rate, high penetration and high productivity due to a high sensitivity of the detector. Additional internal protection against scattered X-ray is used, practically there is no exclusion zone.

Because the radiation dose is below the level (ANSI, NCRP guidelines) there is no need to limit the number of persons screened or, in some cases, the number of screenings a person can have in a year.

FB-SCAN system is used to detect smuggling and threat objects in applications such as customs control, prisons, border crossings and aviation security checkpoints. Working under the 0.25 µSv per inspection, legislative control permits for 1000 scans a year for a person.

The FB-SCAN provides a high-resolution full body image for a review after just one passing.

A variety of image enhancement tools allows the operator to quickly and accurately assess the image.

FB-SCAN could be equipped with high-end safety systems to observe the radiation dose rate.

The system can be installed at any place where a power supply is provided and is intended for 24/7 operation all-year-round. The inspection is carried out automatically with images being transmitted to the control computer.

 - Scanning module that includes dual energy collimated X-ray unit, full body-sized line detector, local X-ray protection for reducing scattered radiation zone. Integrated color lights indicate the system’s status: green - ready, yellow - X-ray turned on, red - error;

 - Movable belt with steps (high-end electric drive unit);

 - Remote control keyboard with the Power On / Emergency stop buttons;

- Remote control unit based on a personal computer with Windows operating system and 21’’ TFT screen; (could be customized)
